What does shewed mean?

Showed. It's the older form of English where many words were spelled differently, and some even sounding like totally different words. An example was, when the original story, Robin Hood, was written, "silly" meant poor.
If you have trouble understanding some words so far as to look for it on the computer, the New International Version would help. It is in the English of modern usage, yet directly translated from the original languages that the Bible was written in, so you don't have to fuss over understanding what this or that word means. I had that trouble, until I realised that there is a Bible out there that is better understandable in our modern day language.
