What type of truck and trailer? For all I know, you could be talking about a Ford F650 and a single axle utility trailer.

If you're referring to Class 8 vehicles, something like a single axle tractor towing a single axle trailer would be allowed an interstate GVW of 52,000 lbs.

What is a tandem truck?

A tandem truck usually refers to the amount of axles on the trailer or tractor. A single drive axle on a tractor would be referred to as a single, or the same for one axle on the trailer. I have seen it referred to the amount of tires on the end of an axle. When there are two tires on the end of the axle, that would be referred to as a dual, not a tandem.

How much does furniture trucks weigh?

Depends on what type of truck it is. It could be a single axle truck, a tandem axle truck, a tractor-trailer. You'd have to narrow your question down a bit. Tare (empty) weights will be affected by make and model of the vehicle, frame length, construction of the body, etc.

How much weight can a single axle semi truck and a duel axle trailer haul?

It can vary according to the configuration of the trailer axles. A straightforward tanndem, with no spread, is permitted 34.000 lbs. on the trailer axles, which would allow the combination to gross out at 66,000 lbs. A 10 ft. spread axle, on the other hand, is allowed to weigh 40,000 on the trailer axles, which would permit the combination to gross 72,000 lbs.

Measure from the point the trailer connects to the truck to the center of trailer axle ( if a tandem axle trailer measure to the center point between axles) multiply by 2 and this will have you close to turning radius.

How many gallons does a heating oil delivery truck hold?

There really isn't a set capacity, as the sizes and configuration of these trucks may vary. You could be talking about a single axle straight truck, or a tractor-trailer, whether a regular five axle unit or a Michigan 'sled'. Heating oil weighs ~8.2 lbs. per gallon, and a single axle truck with a 33,000 GVW would probably be able to carry 7 - 8 tons of payload, while a five axle semi truck and tanker trailer grossing at 80,000 lbs. would have between a 20 - 24 ton payload.
