It was destroyed by the Babylonians 2500 years ago. Only incomplete ruins remain. Most of these are underground, beneath the present-day Temple Mount area. One part, the Western Wall, is visible, but most of its height was from the Second Temple, not from the First Temple which King Solomon built. See: an above-ground image, and an underground image.
