This is spoken of by Paul the Apostle in (1 Tim. 4:6).

"Nourished up in the Words of Faith"

Basically, the same way your body need food, so your spirit needs to be nourished by you. Look at verse 8 - 10 now:

8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

My thoughts are listen / read the Word of God (The Bible), Pray, Worship the Lord. Give your spirit the things, whatever it needs needs too. Don't neglect your Spirit. You would never neglect your body and not eat for a week (because you did not have time for example), right?

Remember who Timothy was (a second generation believer, who Paul was writing to that he deeply cared about, after all the last letter Paul wrote was to Timothy before he Paul was killed in Rome after his second imprisonment. (2 Timothy)).

Because of this, be assured that what Paul was writing was need to be heard and understood by someone who never personally meet Jesus. (a second generation believer). (and everyone of today)

Note: I added this additional content to the answer because I thought it was important for you to understand why, I was quoting you this from 1 Timothy.
