I don't believe so. I got one shot of the depo and bled for 9 weeks straight. The whole time I bled it was brown not a red color. It wasn't a constant bleed around the same time everyday only lasting for about 4 hours. i learned that the depo sot lasts 12 weeks so i think its just the side effects the brown blood is old blood . depo is birth control and is not 100% effective.
