Subjective comes from the subject e.g how do YOU feel about an event?(Internal) Objective refers to matters/ objects outside of yourself (External)

If you are thinking objectively, it refers to detaching yourself from your own opinion on a matter, and instead looking at the facts in front of you. e.g If my own son was in a competition that I was judging, I would still need to objectively consider the merits of all competitors, before awarding a prize.
