Tawheed refers to the Islamic concept of the oneness of God and is the foundation of Islamic belief. Taqwa is the concept of piety, mindfulness, and consciousness of God in one's thoughts and actions. Muslims strive to embody both tawheed and taqwa as central aspects of their faith and practice.
Abdul Jabbar Taqwa was born in 1954.
Tawheed is the belief in the Oneness of God, and is the most important concept of Islam. It is an Arabic word that comes from the root letters "whd," which is the same root for the number one in Arabic (Wahid) The three types of Tawheed are: Tawheed ar-Rububiyyah-- Oneness of Lordship Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah-- Oneness of Worship Tawheed al-Asma was-Siffat-- Oneness of Attributes
Tawheed al-Rububiyyah: Oneness in lordship, affirming that Allah is the sole creator, sustainer, and controller of the universe. Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah: Oneness in worship, acknowledging that only Allah deserves to be worshipped. Tawheed al-Asma wa-Sifat: Oneness in the names and attributes of Allah, recognizing His unique and perfect qualities as described in the Quran and Sunnah.

Taqwa. (Piety) To recognize that Allah is always here each and every moment witnessing us and to acknowledge it and express it through our words and actions. Allah (SWT) says: "O you who believe! Have Taqwa of Allah (SWT), as you should have of Him and do not die except as Muslims." [Soorah aal-Imraan (3): 102] Allah (SWT) says: "O mankind! Worship your Lord, Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become al-Muttaqoon." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 21] Thus, Taqwa is the result of worship and and can only be achieved by performing acts of Ibadah. Therefore we often find Allah (SWT) mentioning Taqwa with Ibadah. He said regarding the fasts of Ramadaan: "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become muttaqoon (those who posses Taqwa)." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 183]
