In 1960 I bought a US 20 dollar gold coin that is encase in a gold frame to be worn as jewelry. This coin is 1924 and was minted in San Francisco I assume as it has an s by the date. I would like to know what is the value of this coin.
Sorry no 2000 dollar gold pieces were ever struck, it's just a dollar coin that looks like gold spend it.

There never was a gold half cent coin. Gold is too valuable for such small denominations. Even at the (comparatively) low price of gold back in 1852 a half-cent made of it would have been about the diameter of a pencil eraser.

1923 is a common date Peace dollar struck in silver not gold, it's possible the coin has toned a gold like color and values for circulated coins are $14.00-$19.00. If the coin has been gold plated the value is just for the silver and is about $13.00

$1- like all circulating $1 coins since 2000, it's made of brass. Not gold.
