The number 30 was significant in a few ways in The Bible.

For Israelite men, that meant that they had reached an age where they were considered an adult.

For example:

Numbers 4:3 said that "From thirty years old and upward" that those in the tribe of Levi would officially enter the priesthood.

Luke 3:3 said that "Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry"

John the Baptist started his ministry when he was thirty (he was 6 months older than Jesus)

Other significant uses of 30 were:

Deuteronomy 34:8 says that Israel wept for Moses "in the plains of Moab thirty days"

Matthew 26:14 says Judas betrayed Jesus for "thirty pieces of silver"

While the Bible does have special significance for certain numbers, most are literal or symbolic.
