The Mmusuyidee (MMUSUYIDEƐ) is a good omen, that helps us to live in the presence of God. It "wards off negative powers of thoughts". It was printed on a cloth that the King of the Ashante people would use ritually every morning when he woke up.

It looks like a stylized Christian cross, especially an iron cross which was a symbol of Prussia as far back as 1813, long before it was made into medals given to Nazi officers during World War II. It is not an official symbol of any Christian church, which condemns symbols with supernatural powers as being idols.

(note the last letter is not the English E, but the latin epsilon Ɛ which has a different pronunciation in the Ewe language)
