The most well-known quote from Jesus in the New Testament is(paraphrased);
"Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and give to God what belongs to God."
This was Jesus's reply to a question that was meant to trick him and corner him into taking a stand against the hated Roman government and their taxation of the country of Israel. Instead, Jesus's answer is saying that it is right to give honor and support to the government who watches over and protects you and your home but you should also give honor and sacrifice to the God whom you serve.
