The Christmas festival celebrates the birth of Jesus and is originally a christian festival, though has been included in secular culture in many places of Europe. Many people who celebrate Christmas these days have little awareness of its origins. For those outside Christianity, Christmas is more a time of giving and receiving presents and maybe spending time with family.
