What does the False Prophet do and who will it be?

In Bible prophecy, the "False Prophet" works in collusion with the "BEAST" - an end time absolute world-ruling "leader" or "king" and "kingdom" or GOVERNMENT SYSTEM.

Just as the words "king" and "kingdom" are synonymous with each other and used interchangeably in The Bible [because as a king is; so is his kingdom - see Dan.2:37-39]… so, is the term "Beast" used interchangeably with both this end time "kingdom" [the Beastly government system] and its "king" [the immoral mortal leader, to whom Satan shall give his end time political and military power and authority over the world - see Rev.13:1-2. Just as the Beast Leader is {or shall be}… so shall be the nature of his Beastly end time rule over the nations of the world]. A satanic rule designed to end all life on planet earth if God doesn't step in to stop it:

"For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor shall ever be [again]. And except those days [of the Beast's rule] should be shortened, THERE SHOULD NO FLESH BE SAVED[alive]: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matt.24:21-22 KJV)

In other words… when you read "Beast" in the book of Revelation, it's referring to both the political system AND/OR its leader. A "prophet" in the Bible [whether he be false or true] is a spiritual representative of life regarding one's "beliefs" and one's subsequent obedience and commitment to those beliefs. Prophets are generally thought of in connection with "religion," going about warning people to beware the wrath of God. And prophetically speaking… religious organizations and churches and the like are referred to as a "woman" [as God's elect are often mentioned in reference to "marriage" as His "wife"] "…My covenant [their marriage vow to Obey Me] they brake, although I was AN HUSBAND unto them,' saith the LORD." (Jer.31:32 KJV)

"For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church." (Eph.5:31-32 KJV)

As for who the end time miracle-working "False Prophet" is… in order to identify him, we need to, first, identify the "Beast." Because the Bible reveals who and WHAT the "Beast" is… ANCIENTLY! And if we can lock down [and believe] God's revelation and interpretation as to who and what the Beast is; then the prophecies which have been fulfilled in world history will clear up the mystery as to the identity of the False Prophet.

The term "Beast" comes to us from Daniel's "dream or vision" in his 7th chapter; in which "four beasts" [a LION, a BEAR, a LEOPARD, and a fourth BEASTLY CREATURE that fits no description of any known animal throughout God's creation - a perverse, vile, utterly destructive, description-defying BEAST]. "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a FOURTH BEAST, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it…" (Dan.7:7 KJV).

These "Beasts" are revealed to Daniel [and to those Faithful of God who read and believe the preserved, inspired passages], to represent "the four main world-ruling empires or governments of man down through the centuries[which in Daniel's case, with the exception of the LION, were all still in his future]. Daniel's vision concluded with the GOVERNMENT [or Kingdom] OF GOD [Daniel had a vision of the gospel or Good News of the Kingdom of God] that's coming to earth to destroy all the errant governments of man, and to rule the world with God's Righteousness, forever. THESE GREAT BEASTS [these world-ruling Satan-designed and owned government systems of man -- see Luke 4:5-6], WHICH ARE FOUR, are FOUR KINGS, which shall rise out of the earth. But the saints of the Most High SHALL TAKE THE KINGDOM [of God] FOR EVER, even FOR EVER AND EVER." (Dan.7:17-18 KJV)

The four major world-ruling empires, governments or kingdoms of Daniel's vision; which world history bears out are: 1)- Babylon, the LION; 2)- Persia, the BEAR; 3)- Greece, the LEOPARD; and 4)- Rome, DREADFUL and TERRIBLE! Over the millennia, the political and religious beliefs, rites, customs and traditions were absorbed by each successive empire; adopting and adapting them as they went… finally coming down to us in our "modern society" and generation: refreshed and renewed with each passing year… yet, all steeped in pagan antiquity.

The "gospel" [Good News] of the Kingdom of God was the message Jesus preached all during His earthly ministry [Mark 1:14-15], shortly after He successfully qualified Himself to replace Satan's rule over the earth [see the 'temptation accounts of Christ" -- Matt. and Luke 4]; that the first two people God made [Adam and Eve] gave to him in the beginning when they succumbed to his temptation, obeying and worshiping him. And Daniel was given his vision of the "gospel" of the Kingdom, anciently, WHICH HE DID NOT UNDERSTAND! "…I heard, but I UNDERSTOOD NOT: then said I, 'O my LORD, what shall be the end of these things?' And he said, 'Go thy way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed TILL THE TIME OF THE END. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the WICKED shall do wickedly: and NONE OF THE WICKED SHALL UNDERSTAND; but THE WISE SHALL UNDERSTAND." (Dan.12:8-10 KJV)

The "Beast" of Revelation, it turns out, shall be the end time resurrection of Daniel's FOURTH BEAST -- the Roman Empire. The basic government system that has been the foundation of all the nations of the so-called "free world" to this day, since the Roman Empire, reputedly, "fell." This soon-coming "Beast" of Revelation [and its ancient customs and traditions that our generation still observes, annually] was, is, and shall continue to be a composite adaptation of the customs and traditions of the other three empires that preceded it:

"And the Beast which I saw was like unto a LEOPARD [Grecian customs and traditions], and his feet were as the feet of a BEAR [Persian customs and traditions], and his mouth as the mouth of a LION [Babylonian customs and traditions]: and the Dragon [Satan - see Rev.12:9] GAVE HIM[the Beast] HIS POWER, and HIS SEAT, and GREAT AUTHORITY." (Rev.13:2 KJV)

So, the "Beast" of Revelation that's soon coming to RULE THIS WORLD IN OUR GENERATION… shall be the final revival of the FOURTH BEAST OF DANIEL - the ROMAN EMPIRE! And the "False Prophet" shall be the powerful religious leader of whatever religion has held sway over Rome, anciently, and over its leaders and over all the governments of the world even in recent years. A man loved and adored and worshiped the world over. What religious organization was that… and is that… right up to this very day? Scripture calls him "another Beast." Another Beast who shall be able to work miracles with which to deceive the world. He will work his miracles in "the presence of the first Beast!" They will be together when he does it, so that the False Prophet may be empowered by Satan [the Great Dragon]… with Satan's power "channeled through the first Beast, through him."

"And I beheld another Beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a Lamb [he professes Christ; appears Christ-like to the world], and he SPAKE AS A DRAGON [he speaks the twisted, perverse words of Satan]. And he exerciseth ALL THE POWER OF THE FIRST BEAST before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST… And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire to come down from heaven on the earth IN THE SIGHT OF MEN, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which HE HAD THE POWER TO DO IN THE SIGHT OF THE BEAST; [the Satan-possessed Beast must stand near the False Prophet for Satan's power to channel through him], saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should MAKE AN IMAGE [an idol] TO THE BEAST [compare this with Daniel's 3rd chapter]… he had power to GIVE LIFE UNTO THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST, that the image of the Beast should both speak, and cause as many as would not worship the image of the Beast SHOULD BE KILLED." (Rev.13:11-15 KJV)

What beloved, powerful religious organization, historically, is connected to Rome [Daniel's Fourth Beast] and worships [bows down to sweating and bleeding statues] idols and images? Answer the question for yourself as to "who the False Prophet might be," using the biblical evidence provided here.

At the end of the prophecies… we're told that the Beast and the False Prophet… and the Dragon… will cause all the nations of the world to FIGHT THE RETURNING CHRIST:

"…I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the Dragon, and out of the mouth of the Beast, and out of the mouth of the False Prophet. For THEY ARE SPIRITS OF DEVILS[demons], working miracles, which go forth unto the kings [presidents, premieres, world leaders] of the earth and OF THE WHOLE WORLD, to gather them to the battle of that Great Day of God Almighty… And they gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." (Rev.16:13-16 KJV) We're told that in the course of the coming "battle of that Great Day of God Almighty":

"…the Beast was taken, and with him the False Prophet that wrought miracles before him… These BOTH were CAST ALIVE INTO A LAKE OF FIRE burning with brimstone [sulfur]. (Rev.19:20 KJV)

The whole world is deceived by Satan regarding these two men, the Beast and the False Prophet [see Rev.12:9]… in that the deceived world has been looking for ONE MAN that it calls "the Antichrist." It's not looking for the TWO MEN revealed in the Bible who will combine government-worship into its beastly, "terrifying, dreadful, strong, devouring, crushing, trampling" government!

The False Prophet will do for the first Beast what the leaders of its religion have always done. He will give religious credence to the god-endowed authority of the Beast… [perhaps even naming him 'god'] that the world, by virtue of his convincing miracles, may accept him without reservation.

He may even "set a crown upon the head" of the Beast as his predecessors had always done with past Caesars and kings. The False Prophet will facilitate the world's religious acceptance of the Beast as the perfect new leader of the new world order:

"…All the world marveled at this miracle and followed the Beast in awe. They [all the world] WORSHIPED THE DRAGON [Satan] for giving the Beast such power, and THEY WORSHIPED THE BEAST. 'Is there anyone as great as the Beast?' they exclaimed. 'Who is able to fight against him?' Then the Beast was allowed to speak great blasphemies against God. And he was given [by Satan] authority to do what he wanted to do for forty-two months [three-and-a-half years]." (Rev.13:3-5 NLT New Living Translation)
