The Old Testament or Old Covenant shows clearly that sin and evil are what sepperates man from God. The Law and the Prophets again and again display man's need of God and His promised Messiah.
The Old Testament deals with many subjects: the creation of the universe, the history of mankind, sin, the history of the Jewish people; but most importantly, the Old Testament is a revelation of God.
