What does the Somalian flag mean?

The blue on Somalia's flag was influenced by the blue field of the United Nations flag. While the five points of the white star represent the five countries in which the Somalis lived, British Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Djibouti and the Italian colony of Somalia.
