I don't know what you're talking about, since there isn't a "W" on a Mercedes Benz as far as I know. I think you're talking about the wrong car. :P

if your talking about the w and s button on the shifter assembly it stands for winter and the s stands for summer in s mode the car will roll out in 1st gear more torque in w mode it rolls out in 2nd gear less torque less wheel spin for the snow you will notice the car has more power from a stand still in s then w
