2000 Dakota w/4.7L calls for 5W-30W...mechanics that have done rebuilds will tell you to continue to change oil often....I do every 3K...now have 175,000 mi
Most mower manufacturers now recommend a 30w for summer use and a 5w-30 for year round use. BTW the w=winter.
30 W
10 w 30 or straight 30w
Yes, you can use 5w 30 oil in your banshee. You can also use 10 w 30.
5W's mean : what where who when why how
10w means the coldstart viscocity. ---30w is the viscocty at engine operating temperature. By zoomy 10w means the coldstart viscocity. ---30w is the viscocty at engine operating temperature. the w is weight By zoomy
I have the same model with the engine oil reccomendations sticker still on it. It reccomends a 5W-30 for most temps. In extreme cold (below 0 F) use 0 weight.
Should probably use 10 w 30 or 30 w.
Most diesels take 5w or 10 w 30 weight oil
SAE 5W X 20 WEIGHT
The W is implies as winter. Basically on the coldest day of the year in winter 5w-30 will have the viscosity of 5 weight oil of that particualr temp. (no temp is specified) and a the second 2 digit number is the viscosity at 100 degrees centigrade
