Additional: The solenoid is an important part of the safety system. No professional will tell you to bypass it because of the liabilities. The solenoid shuts off the fuel that go through the carburetor into the engine. It will shut off when there is a safety issue. It also shuts off with the key and helps prevent the engine from backfiring which can cause damage.
