A cattleya labiata é uma planta epífita que vegeta sobre árvores nas serras como em locais bastante úmidos, sempre protegidos do sol intenso. Vegeta numa altitude entre 500 e 1000 metros.
Ela procede em maior número de habitats dos estados de Alagoas, Ceará, Paraíba e Pernambuco e raramente do Maranhão e Piauí.
