answer : Random Misfire

P0300 means random misfire detected which probably has to do with the spark plugs or the plug wires
a po300 code is a random misfire code witch means it is not just missing on just one cly. witch kind of eliminates a ignition problem unless you have multiple ignition parts going bad more likely a fuel problem or vacuum leak
P0300 is for random engine misfire p0301 and p0305 are misfires on cylinders # 1 and #5 www.lextechautomotivellc.com
PO300 is random cylinder misfire. This can eventually destroy your catalytic converter and the O2 sensors. So, you need to have this repaired immediately.
the code means: random/multiple cylinder misfire detected, po300, it could be wires, spark plugs, bad coils, etc.

My book shows P0300=Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected. P0342=Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Low Input. Hopefully this helps you out.
This just happenned to me. I was getting a code PO300. It turned out to be the ignition control module. It cost 78.00 at autozone and only took 10 minutes to replace.
