A deer will take there food and just bite then swallow, bite, swallow they don't chew there food they keep it in there stomach until they go lay down to start to relax. Then they will barf it up and start to chew yes I know its sounds gross but that is how they eat. And they get there food from grazing in a field or in the grass that is how they get there food.
