Info like the year, make, model and engine would help.
Remove the distributor cap and rotor. Now look in the distributor and you will see an electronic device that has 2 different electrical connectors on it. That will be the module. remove the 2 screws and take it out.
Remove the air filter housing. Now look to the left and right beside the valve cover you will see a FLAT squire black electronic device that will have at least 6 wires pluged into it. That will be it.

If you remove the air cleaner and look to the left of the throttle body you will see a flat thin black item mounted on a bracket with a electrical connector pluged into it. That will be the item you are looking for.
Take the air cleaner off and look to the left of the TB housing and you will see it right beside the top of the valve cover. It is flat and about the size of a pack of smokes and bolted on a bracket. It will have a flat wide electrical connector pluged into it.
Most of the time they look like a small rubber o-ring or doughnut.
