Freedom of speech.
It means the freedom for Americans to abide by their own religious beliefs and it is a federal power restriction on the government forbidding it from making any rulings that infringe on religious expression, such as outlawing prayer in school. Americans can practice whatever religion they wish without it being punishable by law, just so long as they do not violate any pre-established laws such as murder, theft, trespassing, etc. This is the traditional interpretation of the First Amendment as it was understood by our founding fathers. Americans today may understand its meaning quite differently as recent liberal court rulings in the last 50 years have sought to reinterpret the original intent of this amendment in attempts to give support to the separation clause between church and state. These modern rulings have proven effective in perverting the general publics understanding of the original intent of this Amendment and has caused increasing conflict between religious institutions, which intend to uphold the traditional interpretation, and state institutions, who are becoming increasingly progressive and liberal as they succome to political pressure from minority groups. As a result, Americans today view his amendment as meaning that the Government must remain separate from all religious affiliation, to the point of outlawing any religious artifact or mention when found on or spoken on federal grounds...a direct violation
The first amendment gives the United States citizens the freedoms of religion, speech and assembly. These are described in the Bill of Rights.
Freedom of Speech, Religion, and Freedom of the press

The Twenty-First Amendment to the United States Constitution repeals the "Prohibition Amendment," (the Eighteenth) banning the importation, sale, or consumption of alcohol in the United States. The final states to ratify the amendment were Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Utah, on December 5, 1933. The Carolinas both rejected the repealing of the amendment, South Carolina going so far as not to call a convention to debate the issue.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
it was the prohibition act (no alcohal) The 21st amendment to the United States constitution repealed the 18th amendment to the United States constitution which had mandeted nationwide prohibition.
The first act of the United States protects the rights of freedom to religion and expression. This means you can worship who you wish and say what you wish without fear of consequences. This is one of the many reasons people from other countries come to the United States.
The Constitution guarantees freedom of speech. It means that you can say what you feel without fear of government retaliation. It is in the First Amendment.
The Tenth Amendment doesn't say anything about marriage. In fact, marriage is not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution.Amendment X"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
The 21st Amendment repealed the 18th Amendment. The 18th Amendment had prohibited the manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors in the United States as well as prohibiting the importation and exportation of intoxicating liquor. It ended the era of "Prohibition".

The 24th amendment grants women the right to vote. This amendment was ratified in 1920. It reads:The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. This right was one of the first break throughs for women's equality. Before this amendment, women were not allowed to vote or have any impact on government or politics. Only white, land owning men were allowed to have any say in governmental matters.

The first African American that was born in United States wasit doesn't say it
The 18th amendment is NOT enforced because the 18th amendment states that no alcoholic beverages can be imported or exported into/out of the United States. This amendment was passed in 1919 under the National Prohibition Act of 1920 (it was called that because it didn't get inforced until 1920). I say this act is no longer enforced because if you look on some beverages, you can clearly see that many come from the territory of Puerto Rico and the countries of Germany, Irland, and Italy. At least those are the countries that I have noticed import alcoholic beverages in the United States.
