The fuel pump relay switch looks like the normal electric switch. The function of fuel pump relay switch is turn the fuel pump on.
If you are referring to the inertia switch, look in your owners manual under "problems on the road". If no luck, you don;t have one. If you want to secure the fuel pump simply pull the fuse or relay labeled "fuel" Dodge doesn't use inertia switches.
On a 1991 Ford Explorer : I BELIEVE the fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the front passenger footwell , under the front edge of the carpet , mounted on the toe board just to the right of the transmission hump
It does not have a fuel pump switch. It has a relay and a fuse for the fuel pump.

You can view the 2000 Ford Ranger owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( page 139 has a drawing of the fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) The manual shows : it's in the front passenger footwell , by the kick panel ( but the drawing makes it look like its behind the kick panel )
On my 1991 fuel injected Festiva the fuel pump inertia switch is located inside the panel at the rear driver's side. Lift the rear hatch and look to the left where the seat belt attaches and the speaker is located. There is supposed to be a small panel (2 or 3 inches square). My panel is missing and there is just an opening. You can see the top of the inertia switch with a red button. If you need to replace it or get to the entire switch you must remove that entire panel. It only takes about 10 minutes to remove that panel.
on most cars, the inertia switch and reset is located under the passenger dashboard/firewall area. Look under and behind the glovebox.
Funny looking thing behind the carpet under the glovebox
