It is a room filled with incubators and associated medical devices that surround each incubator. The lights are usually soft and the room quiet, with a nurses' station in the middle or to one side. You will hear a wide range of noises and sounds from the machinery, including beeps and hissing coming from the monitors and ventilators. The NICU is just for preemies baby's.Incubators keep the baby's warm.
