In Egyptian hieroglypincs, there is no letter A like we use it. There were two gutteral sounds that would be a starting point for an "a" sound (or any other vowel besides "o" or "u").
These were:
The vulture symbol, which makes a glottal stop similar to the aleph in Hebrew.
The forearm symbol, which makes a gutteral sound (like you're about to vomit), similar to the ayin in Hebrew.
Hieroglyphs (not hieroglyphics!) do not record any vowel sounds, just like ancient Hebrew, Arabic and Phoenician. Naturally the people who wrote these languages knew what the missing vowels should be and could read their writing with the vowels included, but in the case of ancient Egyptian we do not have that knowledge today.
So there is no hieroglyph with the vowel sound "a"; some websites give the impression that certain hieroglyphs stand for a, e,i o and u, but this is completely incorrect and misleading. The picture of a bird like an eagle actually stands for a sound not written in English, but which does exist in Egyptian, Arabic and Hebrew, called aleph and written by scholars as "3" - it is a glottal stop.
If you are talking about Egyptian hieroglyphics, all of the characters originally started out as pictograms (whole words, not letters).
Some of the pictograms evolved into letters based on the first sound of the word they represented.
Different people used different pictograms for the same letters. Here is a simplified example:
One person may use a picture of an Apple for the letter A. Another may use a picture of an Airplane.
Eventually, the letters became standardized, but different regions may have settled on different standards.

the letter K developed from the cupped hand
Kalends is about the only word starting with the letter k that lasted. The letter k was replaced by the letter c. For example, Karthago became Carthago. (Carthage).
The alphabet has 26 letters. The letter "L" comes after the letter "K".The English alphabet, in order:ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
K-Bar
There is no "letter k" in the Hebrew alphabet. But there are 2 Hebrew letters that have the same sound as the English letter k: they are כ and ק.
The Chinese do not use letters like our . . . they use pictures rather than letters, so there is no Chinese equivalent of the letter, "K".

K
The letter k in English comes from the letter k in Latin. It came to latin from the letter Kappa in Greek which looks like a capital K. That was an adaption of the Phoenician kaph.
