A:The number 26 is used only once in The Bible, so it is hard to say it really represents anything at all. With more than a little imagination, one source says that twenty six represents the Power of Salvation, because the two Hebrew letters that form the numbe, kaph-vav, can be thought of as like an open hand and a nail. Another attempt was "the Gospel of Christ."

Of course, we should not for a moment think that the biblical authors had either meaning in mind when they wrote, but modern readers look for meanings even when none exists, so for them, 26 can mean "Power of Salvation" or "the Gospel of Christ," or anything else you wish, in the Bible. There are real instances where the biblical authors did use numerology and play with numbers in the Bible, but this is not one of them.
