Is A Charles Baily 45 Cal model 1911 a good hand gun?

I think you mean Charles Daly. In general, they have a good reputation as an entry level 1911A1. Up until a year ago, they were made in the Philippines, and then production shifted to Israel. The finish and internal machining is good- not as good as a Colt or Kimber- but the price is a lot less.
