Shahadah is the belief and faith in Allah. So Muslims believe that if they recite Shahadah before they die, they'll find shelter on the day of judgement and that they will find their way to paradise.

Second step is to spend whole life according to the Commands of Almighty Allah Karim and the sayings of the holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). On the way of Truth and faith if one has to sacrifice one's life, one lays one's life with a smiling face. Sacrifice one's life in the way Of Allah Karim is the highest degree of the fulfilment of Shahadah.
