This sentence means you should wait a couple of years before using internet. Let's say when you'll start speaking English correctly. Maybe two years is a large lot, but is that more equal if I suggest less than I mean?

It means that oil is less compact, more atoms in the one place. Having more atoms

means heavier over all.

Oil weighs less per volume than water does. Think of it this way. if you get a litre of oil, it will weigh a bit less than a litre of water.

Is water more dense at 100 degrees Celsius?

More dense than what? I presume you mean is it more dense at that temperature than at lower temperatures. The answer is no, it gets denser at lower temperatures, all the way down to 4 degrees centigrade. Then it gets less dense again.

What kind of substance will float in oil?

Assuming you mean the usual sort of "oil", there is nothing that is both less dense than oil and more dense than water. You have effectively asked the buoyancy equivalent of "what number is bigger than 3 but smaller than 2".Oil is less dense than water so nothing can float in oil but sink in water. If it floats in oil it would have to be less dense than oil so therefore, it will float in water.

How does Saturn float in water if its so heavy?

Yes, Saturn's mean density is only 70% of that of water.

What does make less dense mean?

a measure of the compactness of a substance, expressed as its mass per unit volume. It is measured in kilograms per cubic metre or pounds per cubic foot. So, it means that ''more dense'' is the same as more compacted, and ''less dense'' is less compacted. As it is expressed per unit volume and measured in kilograms per cubic metre, signifies that an element that has more kilograms per cubic metre is more dense, more compact, resulting in more weight as well.

What does 'Saturn is less dense than water' mean?

The density of something is how much material there is in a given space. It is sort of like "thickness". A very dense material will be heavy even in small amounts. Water, for example, is denser than air. This is why it is more difficult to move through water than it is through air. Air particles are spaced further apart from each other than water particles. A solid, such as stone, is denser than water, so dense that is impossible to move through. Saturn's average density is less than that of water. This is because Saturn is mostly gas.

What does the statement 'the buoyant force of a liquid does not depend on physical statebut on density' mean?

Floating, or buoyancy, depends on the density of the liquid and the density of the object. Water is a pretty dense liquid, and things float in it; they are buoyant. Oil or gasoline are less dense; things that float in water may not float in oil.

What does it mean to say ice is less dense than water?

It means that one cubic centimetre of ice weighs less than 1 cubic centimetre of water.

Does less water in the ocean mean it's less dense?

Why is coconut oil less dense than water though it is thicker than water?

Just because something is thicker than something does not mean it is more dense. Coconut oil may be more viscous than water, but it is less dense. Perhaps because of the strong hydrogen bonding in water, more mass is able to be packed per unit volume than in coconut oil.

How do things float?

things float because they are less denser then the water. second things do not float, the molecules from the water support the molecules from the thing on the water. that is how something heavy can float. it just has to be boyent meaning it is spread out enough so there is more water molecules to hold it up. if you mean in the air it is the same concept.

When measuring density what does a steeper line on your graph mean?

it is less dense

How does Saturn float in water if its so heavy?

Yes, Saturn's mean density is only 70% of that of water.

Is warm or cold water denser?

its according to what other temperature of water you are comparing it to. water is densest at 4 degrees C so water that is colder then 4 degrees C is technically less dense then water at 4C. in that case the warmer water is denser. but if you mean warm water to be >4C and cold water to be colder then warm water, but not below 4C, then cold water is more dense then warm water. but the question you are probably trying to get answered would have an answer of cold is denser

What does it mean if an egg floats in water?

If it floats....Don't eat it. It's rotten. If it sinks....It's perfectly fine.
