the cherekee rose is the symbol for pain and suffering on the trail of tears the cherekee rose is the symbol for pain and suffering on the trail of tears
That would depend upon the essence of your essay, or what your focus Is. If, for instance, your essay is just a narrative of what the Cherokee Trail of Tears was, then I would end it with brief summation pointing out that the Cherokee Trail of Tears was but one trail of tears many tribes had to endure. If your focus is on how it was an illegal removal, then you might summarize and point out how this deliberate disobeying of the Supreme Court, would not have been tolerated.
The government created and enforced many "trails of tears". The one that history records made most famous was that of the Cherokee. Forced to walk thousands of miles from Georgia to Oklahoma, four thousand Indians are thought to have died. This removal was against the findings of the Supreme Court of the United States who said the Cherokee would have to agree with the removal. They never did.

Chief John Ross took his case to the Supreme Court because that was the appropriate court in which to file an appeal after loosing in lower courts. He and many of the other Cherokee believed the Constitution applied equally and that the whites in the government would abide by a favorable court decision. As it turned out, the court found for the Cherokees but the government (President Jackson, the military and the states involved) simply ignored the Supreme Court and did what they wanted to do in the first place. The result was the Trail of Tears.
girdle and crying tears
The Cherokee went to the supreme court and won but Andrew Jackson didn't listen to the ruling because john Marshall couldn't enforce the ruling.
Worcester v. Georgia ruled that the Cherokee Tribe "constituted a nation holding distinct sovereign powers." Jackson defied the Supreme Court and kicked the Cherokee out of their homes to Oklahoma. Many died on the Trail of Tears.

Just throwing some ideas out there... 1. An amendment to the constitution can be made if the Supreme court's decision is unpopular. (2/3 of both houses or a state convention to propose) 2. New laws can be made that kind of skirt around the rules- we all know the government can be sly. 3. The executive branch does not have to enforce the Supreme court's decision. example: even though the supreme court said that "relocating" the Native Americans was in violation of the constitution, Andrew Jackson still led on with the trail of tears.
Rain is almost like God's tears. But to athiests, rain is like everyone's tears.
