It means there is some fault with something in the engine bay or inside the car for that matter. Put a pin in the ecu and it will flash codes and tell you exactly what's wrong and once fixed that light should go out once the car is started. Just search Google for aldl codes for a vn commodore. It will have a list of flash sequences etc.
