Bergen is the name of the second largest city in Norway. It was originally called "Bjørgvin", which means "the green meadow in between the mountains" - referring to the fact that Bergen city is surrounded by 7 mountains: Ulriken, Fløyfjellet, Rundemanen, Blåmanen, Sandviksfjellet, Løvstakken, Damsgårdsfjellet, Lyderhorn and Kolbeinsvarden.
