It is hard for us to understand this. So if I fear God I'll be wise? Not exactly. Fearing the Lord is like obeying your dad. You understand that he has authority over you and he will punish you for something bad. Same with God only he won't punish you the same way as your earthly father does. As long as you know that God has authority over you and how powerful he is, this is basically fearing the Lord. Once you understand He has power, you are able to listen from him, and learn from him. You don't have to run and hide, not at all, just look at Him as a loving father, who teaches you a lesson when you make a mistake. That's all. Hope this helps!
