Do you mean how do you install a sand filter?.
Filter, winter, closed, backwash, rinse, waste
Nope, Just as long as you turn your dial to backwash , waste and then rinse, You shouldn't have a problem. Watson's told me the filter sand should be good until 7 or so years. Until you cannot see any sand in the glass part on your filter, you should have it replaced.
Your sand filter multihead is either in the backwash, rinse, or waste position. Move it to the filtration position.
I am assuming you mean 1.5 horse power pump.. Pumps do not take sand, the filter does. I would need to know the make and model of the filter to tell the amount of sand
how do you clean jacuzzi sand filter, and replace sand
You vacuum waste from a pool with a pool vacuum connected to a pole to push it around the vacuuming devise is plugged into the suction of the pump. If you wish to vacuum to waste on the other hand you will first have to turn of the pump then turn the lever on the top of the filter to waste. This will dump the water, so don't vac to waste any more then you have too.
distinguish between slow and rapid sand filter
It should be on filter and don't forget to backwash at least once a week.
Nothing if its a sand filter However if sand is coming into the pool from the filter then you may have to replace one ore more laterals in the sand filter as they have worn and are letting sand through to the pool,
I put water in the filter box and when I turn on the filter water is not circulating thru the chlorinator as if there is a blockage. I have cleaned both the areas and th skimmer basket and the basket to the filter are both clean. I have tried the waste cycle and the water is not escaping. Its very frustration as I generally use half a bucket to get it going and its now not going. Please help Regards Paul P
When you say sand, I take it you mean in the sand filter. Yes, normally change the sand or clean the DE filter when we change the liner since it most likely has been some time since it was changed..
