it helps us breath. the nose takes in oxygen and sends it to the lungs where it can be stored for when we are running and we are out of breath. if we lacking in oxygen when running then we get stitches, and hae to take deep breaths. fnally the lungs wil send carbon dyoxide to the nose, which will then breath it out. also when we breathe through our nose it takes us longer to run out of breath.
