Yorkshire terriers, Poodles and Schnauzers are all good dogs for people with asthma. These breeds have been found to work well with kids and adults.
get a bichon frise...they have hair not fur which means no allergies. they look like a terrier only with poodle hair. they are adorable. they are great with kids and famies.
It depends. If you are allergic to the fur then a hairless do would be best.
poodles, hairless dogs, and breeds mixed with other non shedding breeds. and as for the asthma, i would get an ok from your doctor and talk to her/him about the effects of dog hair and dander with a post asthmatic person
The Portuguese Water Dog is the least disturbing and the least allergenic of the common breeds.
Dog hair really don't affect asthma. They more affect allergies to dander. But if you do have allergies to dander, and want a Jack Russell, long-hairs are best as they shed less.
No ,having a cockapoo does not affect asthma I have a son who has asthma and we really wanted a dog so we did some research on dogs and different breeds. We found a beautiful Sandy coloured puppy who we really wanted so we brought him home and we now keep him and he is so lovely!!!!! My son has had no reaction to this and he has REALLY BAD asthma and is usually allergic to any animal but we are all glad we brought our wonderful little puppy home and we named him Sandy!
I wouldn't recommend a lab for a child who has asthma only because labs shed a lot. I have a cousin who has bad asthma and he cannot be around my labrador. I would recommend a dog that won't shed such as a Bernese Mountain dog. They do not shed and the oils on their skin will not affect someone with asthma.
Recent research has shown that children raised with a dog in the home have a lower instance of asthma when they get older. These children also have fewer allergies.
it is believed to have 355 breeds of dog including mix breeds.
