Husky's are the only dogs with blue eyes but not all of them have blue eyeswrong. Huskies are NOT the only dog breeds with blue eyes. Australian shepherds, border collies, dalmatians, to name a few are all dog breeds with the blue eyed gene. Blue eyes are genetic, any dog can get the genetics for blue eyes, but most dog breed standards consider blue eyes a fault or disqualification, but the list below are dog some dogs breeds that allow blue eyes.Alaskan HuskiesAlaskan malamutesAmerican Indian dogsSiberian HuskiesAustralian ShepherdsBorder collies ( in merles)Catahoula LeopardsCollies / rough or smooth (in merles)etc. There are other breeds that recognize blue eyed dogs in shows.Any dog can have blue eyes since it is generic.Alaskan Malamutes DO NOT have blue eyes. Only if they are mixed with something else. The only breeds that I know of that can have blue eyes are Siberian Husky, Australian Shepherd, Collie, Dalmation and Catahoula Leopard Dogs. If somebody knows any more, please add them.
Dogs with blue eyes are quite likely to be of the Malamute, Husky, Salmoye breeds which are sled dogs which are breed to be rather enthusiastic (if you know what I mean). I can see where such an association may have been founded but I it is one of consequence rather than one of direct association.
its very hard to get a black dog with blue eyes, dogs with blue eyes are usually white but for everything else the only breed i can think of is the Akida, large dog, very similar to the Husky and Malamute breeds and can come in white, black and various other colours and blue eyes are not that rare in the breed
Some popular dog breeds with dots over their eyes are Dalmatians and Australian Cattle Dogs.
Huskies & Pittbulls are the most well known. When you mix these breeds you still have the possibility of passing on blue eyes. I have a Boxer Pittbull mix who has beautiful Ice Blue/Light Blue eyes. Neither of his parents or siblings had blue eyes except for him.........Australian Shepherds are another bread that have blue pigment in there eyes P.s you also have to remember that dogs can be mated with more that one male in a single litter, that could be why only one dog had blue eyes. A breed of dog that could have blue eyes is a husky. -Cait
Siberian Huskies don't have to be mixed to have blue eyes, some huskies have blue eyes. Not, just huskies some other breeds of dogs also have blue eyes.
Well, a dog is born with different color eyes and if it has blue eyes when it's born then that's nature or say it was born with brown eyes and it grew into blue eyes, then that's NATURE!
Some common dog breeds that can have green eyes include Australian Shepherds, Siberian Huskies, and Border Collies.
