Best Answer

Bear, shark, moth, dog (especially the bloodhound, snakes, and rats.

According to the related site below the following animals have the best sense of smell in the world, in order:

- Bear (If a tree falls in the forest- The Deer will hear it, and the Hawk will see it, but the Bear... the Bear will smell it...)

- Shark

- Moth

- Dog (especially the Bloodhound, due to [somehow innate] utilization of their very large ears to collect the aroma...)

- Snake (Also utilizes infrared vision and a heat-sensor to locate thier prey)

- Rat (They smell in stereo...)

- Albatross

Italian Greyhounds are an odorless breed, unfortunately they are a bit difficult to potty train, so although not carrying a bodily odor--they can still leave quite a stench. Smaller dogs with less hair, are usually the least smelly, if your referring to body odor.

It all depends on what you mean by 'best nose'. The dog with the best scent and the most receptors in its nose (which could be 'best nose') would be the Blood Hound, Black and Tan Coonhound, Redbone Coonhound, Blue Tick Coonhound, Tree Walker Coonhound, Basset hound, beagle, or Plott hound etc. Basically any of the working class hounds that were bred for hunting. These are scent hounds and unlike sight hunters (i.e. labs and bird dogs), almost exclusively use their noses to track a scent. The famous hound dog eyes will droop forward almost 'blinding' a hound when they put their nose to the ground, which is inherently making them use their nose; but can also make them not see dangers such as moving cars. All terriers are working class hunting dogs as well and they have been known to have remarkable noses as well!
