Although there are dogs that are marketed as having hypoallergenic fur, this is not true. It is actually proteins in the dog's saliva that trigger Allergies. When they lick their paws or fur, they spread these proteins. This happens with all dogs, no matter what pet stores and breeders may tell you. It does help to clean regularly to pick up any loose fur that is in the house. Keeping the dog rinsed or bathed to reduce the amount of saliva on the fur also helps. You cannot bathe them every day, or it will dry and irritate their skin. However, a simple water rinse will help.
