1959 and 1960 both share the 1959 repair manual while diferences between the two years was a supplemental ad on manual for the 1960. While some 59 body parts are the same, not all of them are identical IE. rear quarters fins and light placement. Front hood and fenders are similar as well as windshield and doors. Grill and Front bumper are different. If your looking for an exact fit, your going to need a 1960 donar car, if your looking for pieces you can get away with quite a few parts off of the 1959.
the hood and fenders on a 59 require filling in the holes at the gunsights. the 59 has different emblems on the fenders and hood, the 60 has the eyebrows and require drilling new holes and filling the 59 holes. the 60 has different turn signal gun sights and stainless trim that meet them. the head light bucket also is different, especially the inner chrome pieces that meet the hood lip.
doors the same except the trim. trunk is the same but 59 has different emblem and v.
wiper grill is different on 59 from 60.
it is best to use a 60 parts car to restore a 60 due to the higher cost of the 59.
My Classic Car - 1997 Chevy Resto Mods was released on: USA: 2 May 2010
The most expensive American car was the Cadillac or Lincoln which sold for over $5,000.
One could purchase a 1960 Cadillac at a dealership that has vintage second hand Cadillac cars. One could also purchase this car online from stores like Sheffield Garage, Seven Hills Motor Cars and Concept Carz.
The price of a car in 1960 varied by the whether the car was an economical small car which might have been had for less than $2,000 to a luxury car or sports car which might have cost $5,000-$15,000. The 1960 Chevrolet Corvair, which was an economy/sporty car sold for $1,983 and a Chevrolet Impala Convertible's base price with V-8 engine was $2,847.The 1960 Cadillac's base price was $5,455 and a 1960 Ferrari sports car was about $10,500, although there were even rarer and more expensive cars of the period.
Most of the Cadillac car dealers will have an option for a Cadillac sports car. This would be the best place to purchase a sports car in the same model of the company, Cadillac.
The Cadillac CTS is considered to be a luxury sports car.
It looks like either a 1950 - 1951 Cadillac Eureka or a Cadillac Landau of the 1953 - 1960 era. I did some research on this car as well after seeing it in the "Dead End" movie. The models mentioned above fit the crtiteria of the car hearse from the film.
A person can replace a Cadillac key by locating a company that replaces Cadillac keys. Some of these places include a Cadillac car dealership and Car Locksmiths.
Converting an A/T equipped vehicle to a Manual is not cost effective unless you have a donor car for parts. The cost of all the parts needed if bought piece by piece will be extreme. With a donor car, you will have all the parts you need, so it depends on what the donor car costs. A wrecked vehicle is a good donor vehicle. My advice, being someone who has done this very thing, is to sell this car and buy one with a manual.
One can price a Cadillac CTS at a reputable Cadillac dealer. One can visit the website Car Gurus to price Cadillacs, as well as Car and Driver and The Car Connection.
One can watch a Cadillac car video online on websites such as YouTube or their official website. One can watch them simply by typing Cadillac car in the search box.
