As of October 2023, there are several main entries in the Doom series, including the original "Doom" (1993), "Doom II: Hell on Earth" (1994), "Doom 3" (2004), "Doom" (2016), and "Doom Eternal" (2020). Additionally, there are various spin-offs, expansions, and mobile games, such as "Doom 64," "Doom RPG," and "Doom VFR." Counting all variations, there are over a dozen titles associated with the franchise. The series continues to be influential in the first-person shooter genre, with ongoing updates and community support.
Doom is considered to be the grandfather of 3d FPS games (although not the first.) and most FPS games have followed a similair format. In a sense you could argue that most modern games have copied Doom to some extent. I don't think however that Halo was influenced by Doom directly so much as the standards of game-play that Doom set.
I actually asked the same question. Some arcade games (I think in the marketplace) have avatar awards, such as doom 2. The only game I have awards for are Halo Reach, but most new games have some, just go to 'Edit avatar', go to 'Awards' and see which of your games have them.
No, the games aren't backwards compatible. Basically you can only play Xbox 360 games on a 360. But you can play most Xbox games on a 360.

To obtain the Doom Shroom in Plants vs. Zombies on Xbox 360, you need to progress through Adventure Mode until you reach Level 5-10. After completing this level, the Doom Shroom will unlock and become available for purchase in your Zen Garden. You can then plant it in your garden to enjoy its powerful effects against zombies.
