What dose of adderall would produce the same effects as 20 mg per day of Vyvanse?

Adderall XR comes in multiple dosage forms, and usually these are easily transcribed to IR or visa versa. However, 20 mg. of IR 3x daily does not have an equivalent XR dosage for the triple daily dose. The manufacturer offers Adderall XR 30 mg. capsules, which would mean you would take the full 60 mg dose (2 capsules) all in the morning. It would end up being equivalent to taking two 30mg dosages of IR, rather than 3x 20 mgs daily. If you feel that the 3x 20 mg. daily dosing of IR is too important, you might want to just stay on that version. You can always talk to your doc and see whats available.

∙ 15y ago25mg of lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) is similar to about 7.5mg of dextroamphetamine (wikipedia.org), but lisdexamfetamine is designed to last longer. Adderall is a mixture of 4 amphetamine salts (which comes in extend release Adderall XR and normal immediate release).
Since 12.5mg of Adderall is equivalent to about 7.8mg amphetamine base (rxlist.com), I would probably try 15mg Adderall XR (designed to be taken once a day in the morning). If that seems to strong or weak, 10 and 20mg Adderall XR are also available. (As well as non-XR Adderall in 5,7.5,10,12.5,15,20,25 and 30mg)

Differences between Adderall and Vyvanse euphoria?
Vyvanse is lisdexamfetamine, while Adderall is dextroamphetamine, aka (a-methylphenethylamine). Vyvanse is a pro-drug for dextroamphetamine, meaning it is only active after you eat it, so there is little to no abuse potential. Basically, Vyvanse is dextroamphetamine bonded with lysine (an essential amino acid). The euphoria experienced with 50mg Vyvanse orally, is comparable to 25mg Adderall orally. However Adderall is active through insufflation (snorting) so I would assume the euphoria would be better on Adderall.
If Dexedrine or adderall don't work for narcolepsy will Vyvanse?
It would more than likely not work, since Vyvanse is closely related to Adderall. I am being treated by a Psychiatrist for Narcolepsy. I am prescribed 50mg of Vyvanse per day. While Vyvanse is still an amphetamine salt it is a completely different drug than Adderall.

It is safe to be on Suboxone and Vyvanse at the same time. However, Vyvanse is considered to be a narcotic and Suboxone blocks the effects of narcotics. There would be no effect from Vyvanse if taken.

I would take Vyvanse in the morning and always be good for the rest of the day, while the Adderall XRs wore off earlier.

Can you mix Adderall and zanex taking low doesage Adderall in the morning and a zanex before bed?
Yes. My doctor has prescribed me vyvanse (newer version of ADHD drug, similar to Adderol, but last 12 hours and better on your heart), as well as .5mg xanax, 3 a day. So since my phychiatrist prescibes this to me and I am monitored monthly, I would believe this is a safe combination. I am to take my vyvanse and one .5 xanax in morning. and 2 .5 xanax before bed.
