i recently did the same on my 81 monte. her names carla! if you can track down a 78 thru 88 monte the 700r4 trans is to long but the 200r4 overdrive tranny is the same length and yoke as your th350. all monte g bodies were over drive but thr 200r4 and th350 are the same length! good luck and keep that monte on the road!!! see you at the light!
No, you will have to use another year tranny out of a GM vehicle in that application as GM never put a manual tranny in a 81 monte.
the tranny itself is the reservoir, check the level on the tranny dipstick to see that it is full.
Depends on engine, tranny, gearing, etc.
Not if the Monte originally had a 3.4. The computer, wiring harness and many of the sensors are engine specific.
The 200-R4 tranny from an 84 Monte SS will interchange with any other 83-88 Monte SS, or any other GM G-body from the 80s with a 4-speed overdrive A/T. A 700-R4 can also be used but a new driveshaft will need to be fabricated due to its longer tail than a 200-R4.
pull the tranny dipstick out and add the fluid through the dipstick tube.
There is no drain plug on the tranny, you have to take all the bolts out of the pan and drop the pan.
the tranny cooler is at the bottom of the radiator and has apparently ruptured, you will need a new radiator and get the tranny flushed and a new filter in it ASAP.
Yes, Monte Carlo is in Monaco.
The fluid goes in where the dipstick for the tranny is, pull the dipstick out and put the fluid into the dipstick tube.
Monte Carlo is in Monaco ! There are 350 kms from Montpellier to Monte Carlo
There is no such thing as a 2010 Monte Carlo, so the answer would be no
