Nothing drops Killer Beetles. You catch them in the Flooded Forest with your Bug Net.
Most medium sized monsters drop them, but I think the best way is to kill apcerpos in the desert or volcano.
Mining in the Tundra hunting grounds, within the caved areas. 20% drop chance from the said mining nodes.
Yian Kut-Ku. The drop rate is very low though, like 3% for carves and capture rewards.

wait for the altaroth (little walking bugs) to eat from mushroom patches, when they swell up, go kill them and they will drop shiny sparkles to gather.
You can mine it at Pokke farm or at various locations in quests, for example in the Mountains area. Climb and enter the mountain cave and then don't drop down, just walk forward and on your right there is a mark on the wall. Use a Pick-Axe there and you might get iron ore go to f&h you get alot there
