In the first 24 hours, holding ice packs against the jaw every few minutes helps minimize swelling. After 24 hours, warm heat should be applied to reduce swelling.
Doctor's and Dentist's will prescribe different pain medications and or antibiotics.
It may also depend on your Allergies' and severity of pain.
I was given T3's and Percocet's (T3's were not strong enough for me) and a broad spectrum antibiotic.

Not as far as i know. I had all 4 of wisdom teeth impacted and i wasnt having facial spasms. If your wisdom teeth are impacted, you need to get them extracted as soon as possible
