YES! I was receiving promethazine (phenergan) to help stop pre term labor contractions while hospitalized for 10 weeks. I was given the drug periodicly when the contractions would get severe. It wasn't until about week 9 that I had neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Full body tremors, Temp of 104.9 and in and out of consciousness. It followed about one hour after a dose.
NMS can result from a severe complication when using anti-psychotic medications. Some anti-psychotic medications that can lead to this syndrome are paliperidone, risperidone, and ziprasidone.
A very wide range of diseases or toxic substances, including some drugs, can cause ARDS. They include: Breathing in (aspiration) of the stomach contents when regurgitated, or salt water or fresh water from nearly drowning.
Addictive drugs
You don't have a very high chance of getting serotonin syndrome unless you are over medicating with drugs and natural substances as well. You have less than a 5 percent chance of ever experiencing this.
Septic shock symptoms.

When the central nervous system cannot utilize dopamine due to the blocking of dopamine receptors or the depletion of available dopamine in the body it can cause the body to develop this life threatening syndrome. Abrupt withdrawal of medications such as those for Parkinson's, by the use of drugs for anesthesia, etc. are some such causes. Healthline.com has an easy to understand description of this syndrome with more detailed information.
Neuroleptic drugs-- Antipsychotic drugs, including major tranquilizers, used in the treatment of psychoses like schizophrenia.
Patients who use CAS No. 120011-70-3 combining use of antipsychotic drugs have reported to have nerve blockers malignant syndrome (NMS). If it happens, stop using CAS No. 120011-70-3.
Rocking back and forth is a coping mechanism for some individuals with mental illnesses, as it can help soothe anxiety or provide a sense of comfort. It may also help regulate sensory input and provide a rhythmic, repetitive movement that can be calming.
Avoiding excessive use of neuroleptic drugs can help minimize the risk of developing catatonic-like symptoms.
NMS is observed as a dangerous side effect associated with certain neuroleptic (antipsychotic) drugs such as haloperidol (Haldol).
SIADH or Syndrome of inappropriate anitidiuretic hormone secretion can cause fluid overload and hyponatremia. It can be caused by a number of different conditions such as meningitis, cancers, pneumonia, and even some drugs can cause SIADH like SSRI's or morphine.
Johnson syndrome can be caused by infections usually following viral infections such as herpes or influenza. It is belived that it can also be cause by an allergic reaction to certain drugs, some common, such as ibuorofen among others
Motor functions during mental illness may occur part and parcel of the illness or maybe as a side effect to the antipsychotic used.Main motor function disturbance that occurs as part and parcel of the illness is "Catatonia". There are others.Antispychotics (drugs used to decrease the symptoms of the psychotic illness), may cause "extrapyramidal symptoms" (EPS). These include: dystonia, akathisia and rabbit syndrome. There are others. "Neuroleptic malignant syndrome" (NMS) is the most dangerous. The motor function disturbance that occurs with it is "severe rigidity". This can be lethal.Several generations of antipsychotics have been produced. The newer generation is less liable to cause EPS but some of them are the culprit for NMS especially if elderly, child, mentally subnormal or with an organic lesion in the brain (dementia, tumor...etc). Doses must be given in minimal and raised (start low and go slow). NLM (National library of medicine) has excellent info about medication.
Yes, that is correct.
Aspergers syndrome and autism are passed genetically, so drugs do not affect it
