What education do you need to be a landscape photographer?

Landscape designer courses are available at many community colleges and universities.

A degree is recommended but not necessary to become a landscape designer.

Note: a landscape 'designer' is not the same as a Landscape Architect.

If you can read and write being a landscape photographer is not difficult. You need to be able to see the image as second nature. Where the reading and writing comes in is to be able to read manuals and books by other photographers. Also have a look at UTube for videos on landscape Photography. One thing more. Not everyone can visualize what an image will look like in print. Its like all artists it's an instinct that we photographers have when we know it is right.

A lot of photographers are self taught. Going to college or night school to learn is a good way. These days with digital cameras there is no cost in mistakes. You just delete the bad ones. Of course there is a need to learn programs such as Photoshop. I would suggest finding a view you like, take pictures at various times of the day and seasons and experiment. Just keep on taking pictures and ask for advice from other photographers.

You don't have to go to colledge or anytthing to be a landscaper. Just find one to hire you or start your own company. You just need to know what you are doing

Most places require an architect to have an engineering degree, a BS minimum, An MS is better.

Landscape architects must study engineering and graduate from an accredited program in their field. They must then complete a two-year apprenticeship program
