He didn't really impact the world that much other than they knew that it was there. When Columbus found America it had a much greater impact and he became much more popular because he thought he had found Asia. Also, he stayed longer and talked to the Natives. Leif Erickson never came back and he found it on accident. He was looking for Iceland.

∙ 14y agoIt is thought that he started a settlement in the Nova Scotia or Newfoundland area, but as this didn't expand much and was abandoned or died out, it is likely that, aside from the story in Norse tradition, the only impact was upon displaced tribes in the area of settlement.
