well, attackers couldn't cross the desert to attack Egypt, therefor, not a lot of people... attackers.... could come to Egypt without dieing. on the notrh and south there was the nile, and the nile is dangerouse so people couldn't really attack Egypt. i hope this helped... i just learned it in school :)) :)) :))
the river provided water and fertile soil to grow food also the floods they got also provided them with extra water and fertile soil in a thing called silt left behind from the floods and lastly it provided transportation (also in building things like pyramids sometimes) also without the Nile, Egypt would be a desert yeah!! we r talking about Egypt's only river!
it didn't really because all the Egyptians live near the nile river, but this is going to cause many problems because egypt will started to be crowded in the next few years, there has been thoughts of making canals that will branch out miles into the desert for people to live there but no further progress has been made. (I'm Egyptian)
